(Cesafi) juniors basketball tournament at the Cebu Coliseum last night.

    Jed Colonia, a member of the 2015 Southeast Asian Basketball Association (Seaba) champion Batang Gilas U-16 team showed the way for the Magis Eagles as he logged a double-double 16 points, 11 rebounds coupled with six assists and six steals to lead SHS-AdC to their fifth straight game.     AFTER surviving a tough grind before beating the all-local Cebu Institute of Technology-University Wildcats, the University of San Carlos Warriors will shoot to gain a share of the lead against the University of San Jose-Recoletos Jaguars in the collegiate division of the 2015 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Basketball tournament in Cebu Coliseum on Thursday.

    Last Tuesday, the Warriors bounced back from an 18-point deficit behind the brilliant performance of Ian Ortega, who scored all of his 13 points in the final period to help USC defeat the Wildcats, 83-75. (READ MORE)

    THE University of Cebu Junior Webmasters took extra care of every possession and used errors of the University of the Visayas Baby Lancers to its advantage to beat the fancied opponents in a thrilling 70-64 game in the high school tournament of the 2015 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Basketball Tournament at the Cebu Coliseum last night.

    UV Green Lancers defeated USPF Panthers

    THE University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers showed no compassion as they whipped the struggling University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Jaguars black and blue, 97-56, in the collegiate division of the 2015 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Basketball Tournament last night in Cebu Coliseum.

    The Lancers showed the smaller Panthers what it takes to be 10-time champions as they opened their campaign with a 36-10 binge that virtually gave UV their fourth win in as many games. (READ MORE)

    THE Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildkittens jumpstarted the game with a 16-5 blast in the opening quarter to score a 67-62 win over the demoralized Cebu Eastern College Dragons in the high school division of the Cebu SchoolS Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) 2015 Season at the Cebu Coliseum last night.

    THE University of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors remained at the top of the SBP division of the Milo Best SBP-Passerelle tournament Cebu leg after a one-sided victory over University of the Visayas Baby Green Lancers at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Gen. Maxilom Ave. campus gym in a rematch of last year’s finals.

    CONTROVERSIES continue to follow Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) 2015 Season. In the latest incident, Cesafi discovered another tampered birth record that was able to pass by the screening committee unnoticed.

    However, the school involved conducted its own investigation and informed the commissioner’s office of what it discovered. (READ MORE)
