‘No place for violence’

THE Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Commissioner Felix Tiukinhoy Jr. reiterated that the action of USC Warriors assistant coach Junthy Valenzuela when he slammed a monobloc chair inside the Recoletos Coliseum last Sep. 6 has no place in the league.

“I think the actuations of the assistant coach (Valenzuela) have no place in our Cesafi League as he is representing a prestigious Catholic university, being an ex-PBA player at that. Assistant coach Valenzuela is expected to serve as a role model to his players, the alumni and the school community he represents,” Tiukinhoy said in his response to the letter sent by USC Green and Gold Warriors Alumni Association concerning the ban imposed by the league on Valenzuela and the conduct of the referees.
