    IF his ways are to be followed, Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Commissioner Felix Tiukinhoy Jr. wants his ordered schedule last Thursday to be played today, the final day of the crucial semifinal round of the 2015 Season basketball tournament at the Cebu Coliseum.

    In the original schedule, the University of San Carlos and the University of San Jose-Recoletos were supposed to play in the main game at 5 p.m., while the semis match between the University of the Visayas Green Lancers and Southwestern University was set at 3:45 p.m. (READ MORE)

    THE defending champion Southwestern University (SWU)started the 2015 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) season already in trouble—six of their players were disqualified and they had to field in a rather lean squad embarking on a title-defense.

    I HAVE never really taken to the Cesafi All-Star games in the past because I always thought that it can be better.
    It’s patterned after the NBA and PBA All-Star weekends, but unlike the pro events that attract new and casual fans, the one-day festivity in Cesafi rarely attracted people in the crowd.

(Cesafi) College Basketball tournament at the Cebu Coliseum last night.

    THE semifinal cast is complete after the University of San Jose-Recoletos Jaguars whipped the University of Cebu Webmasters, 73-53, to move to the final four of the 2015 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) College basketball tournament at the Cebu Coliseum.

    USJ-R broke away after a tough three quarters with a 22-9 blast in the fourth quarter to eliminate the Webmasters. The Jaguars join the University of the Visayas Green Lancers, University of San Carlos Warriors and the Southwestern University Cobras in the round-robin semifinal round which will determine who will vie for this year’s collegiate division championship.     MIGUEL Gastador exploded with 22 points to lead the University of San Jose Recoletos to an 88-81 win over the University of Southern Philippines Foundation(USPF) Panthers in the penultimate date of the elimination round of the college division of the 15th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Basketball Tournament at the Cebu Coliseum last night.

    THE University of Cebu Baby Webmasters are back in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) high school finals.

    THE University of the Visayas Baby Lancers eliminated No.2 seed University of San Carlos Baby Warriors following a 70-66 win in the high school semifinal round of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) yesterday at the Cebu Coliseum.

    The Baby Lancers kept their title hopes alive and will battle the University of Cebu Baby Webmasters at 4 p.m. today to formally clinch the final ticket, where they are set to take on defending champion Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles. (READ MORE)
